A REAL Airplane Escape Room
On a couple of different occasions, we’ve signed up to play escape rooms that were “airplane” themed only to arrive and find the game play isn’t exactly what we thought it would be. One in particular was airplane themed but ended up being played out of our kidnappers lair. It was a good game, but it wasn’t exactly that game we wanted to play. We wanted a game that really put us in the heart of an airplane. No one seemed to be able to deliver that experience, and we became frustrated. That was the motivation behind creating Flight 282.
Flight 282 is a custom-designed escape room that truly puts our players into an airplane. We’re hiring expert local carpenters to craft the inside of the fuselage that we’ll complete with real airplane seats, overhead bins, and a beverage cart. There will be in-flight magazines, drink menus, and carry-on bags. Even the cockpit will be constructed using Boeing 737 replica parts. About the only thing missing is the turbulence!
The authentic parts will make for a top-of-the-line immersive experience that’s paired with maniacally planned game play aimed to challenge players of all skill levels. We’re really excited to launch our Flight 282 escape room later this fall. Construction of this game will be more complex than most of our other games, but in the end, we think it will be worth it and will deliver an experience to our guests that surpasses all expectations. Plus, the game play is truly exciting with some surprise puzzles, challenging clues, and an ending even the most experienced escape room pro won’t expect.
Stay tuned for more updates and pictures as we get key components of this room built out. There will be lots of fun pictures as we take things out of storage and put this room together.
