4 Tips for Enjoying a 60 Minute Flight
Vacationing is fun. Traveling is not – at least for me. And traveling for my old job was exhausting. I’m writing this post from 30,000 feet so I thought I’d offer 4 tips to help you enjoy a 60 minute flight.
- People watch – I love watching people board the plane. You can always tell who’s traveling for work, who’s traveling to vacation, and who’s coming back. Then it’s fun to image what everyone is thinking. Like right now, I’m pretty sure the later next to me is reading my post. Hi ma’am, how are you today!? Nothing???
- Mess with the puzzles – you know you’ve tried to do the puzzles in the in-flight magazines. The Sudoku’s aren’t that hard, but you all know that you’ve gotten about half-way through the crossword puzzle only to quit in frustration and read about J-Lo in Philly or whatever the ridiculous feature is that month. When I do this, I then fill in the rest of the puzzle with incorrect answers but coded messages to the next guest. You’ve already ruined the puzzle for them. Might as well have some fun with it!
- Bathroom seats – if you’re unlucky enough to be stuck next to the bathroom (fortunately I’m not on this flight), I’ll wait for someone to come out and then look at the next person in line with this expression like “I think something died in there!” The looks you’ll get back are priceless!
- Imagine it’s an escape room – ok, I may be the only person who does this, but it’s how we came up with a lot of the game play for Flight 282. I was thinking about what would happen if…. And that led me to all kinds of fun thoughts about airplane seats, overhead bins, the beverage cart, the design of the cockpit, how we’ll set up the game, and what it should look like.
The actual flight is never really that fun (though free upgrades to 1st Class and the free drinks are really nice!). But Flight 282 at Escape Tactic is a different experience. This is a flight and an escape room like you’ve never seen before. Come check it out once we’re open in early 2017, and you’ll experience the most exciting, immersive flight of your life.
Oh, and the lady next to me is now sleeping and has stopped reading my post…..whew!
